We apologize for not issuing an update at 15:30 as previously communicated. The Joint Operations Centre (JOC) meeting took longer than anticipated.
WATER TANKER OPERATIONS
A total of 14 water trucks are currently operational:
• 1 truck remains dedicated to Rheenendal
• 13 trucks are servicing the Greater Knysna area, with two trucks assigned per zone
Zones currently being serviced between 06:00 and 22:00 include:
• Zone 1: Knysna Heights, Paradise
• Zone 2: Upper and Lower Old Place, Lower Industrial, Hunters Home, Rexford
• Zone 3: Fisher Haven
• Zone 4: Leisure Isle
• Zone 5: White Location, Flenters, Rhobololo, Qolweni, Greenfields, Jood-se-Kamp
• Zone 6: Concordia East and West, Dinangwe, Endlovini, Victor Molosi area
• Zone 7: Khayalethu, Bongani
• Zone 8: Nekkies East, Nekkies West (Kaalkol), Hlalani, Oupad, Dam-se-Bos North (7de Laan), Dam-se-Bos,
• Zone 9: Ward 11 of Hornlee
WATER DELIVERY PLAN
As previously communicated, some residents in Zones 1 to 4 have requested drop-off points rather than street-by-street water delivery. These requests have been accommodated, and the designated drop-off points are listed below. A comprehensive delivery list will be included in the next communication.
Water trucks will be stationed at each drop-off point for approximately one hour, rotating thereafter. During rotation, they will also service public facilities such as hospitals, old age homes, schools, and clinics.
